Verona Rd Project Update, Thursday, May 17, at Fitchburg Library.
The meeting will cover the following topics:
Anticipated construction schedule;
Preliminary construction staging; Proposed improvements such as a single-point interchange at the Beltline and
Verona Road, a new jug-handle intersection for revisions to the existing Verona
Road and Summit Road intersection;
Expansion of the Beltline to 3 lanes to
Whitney Way, and proposed noise wall locations being considered; Proposed improvements to the ramps at the Whitney Way and Beltline
interchange and the Seminole Highway and Beltline interchange;
Proposed pedestrian and bicycle considerations/accommodations.
Preliminary aesthetic considerations for the project;
Proposed improvements to intersections anticipated to receive additional traffic during construction. Construction of these intersections is planned for
2013.
